Dialysis Center in Sudan

ACTIVE CAMPAIGN

KIDNEY CARE · SUDAN

Your Donation. Their Dialysis. Their Tomorrow.

Sudan is in dire need of a new dialysis center. Families travel for days, if they can travel at all, only to be turned away from the few machines still running. Every week without treatment brings a patient closer to death — and every week, we can prevent it.

WHY A DIALYSIS CENTER

Kidney failure is not survivable without dialysis. A patient needs the machine two or three times a week, every week, for the rest of their life. Miss those sessions and the body poisons itself.

Sudan’s war has closed hospitals, cut supply lines and left the centers that remain running far beyond capacity. Patients queue for machines that are already booked. Some are turned away. Others stop coming because the journey itself — days of travel, repeated every week — is no longer possible.

A new center does not solve the country. It gives a fixed number of people, in one place, a treatment they can reach and keep reaching.

FUNDING PROGRESS

$9,000 raisedof $68,000

13% funded. $59,000 still needed to purchase the machines, complete the renovation and open the center’s doors.

WHAT $68,000 BUILDS

The full cost of opening one dialysis center — equipment, the space to put it in, and everything needed to switch it on.

MACHINES

Dialysis units and the water-treatment equipment that has to run alongside them. Without clean, filtered water a dialysis machine cannot be used at all.

RENOVATION

Preparing the space: treatment room, plumbing, electrical supply and the sanitary standard a dialysis ward has to meet before a single patient sits down.

SETUP

Transport into Sudan, installation, and commissioning — getting the equipment across a war zone and tested until it is safe to treat with.

WHY IT COSTS THIS MUCH

Supply lines into Sudan are broken. Medical equipment that is unremarkable anywhere else has to be sourced, paid for, moved across a war zone and installed under conditions that multiply every price on the list. The figure covers purchase, transport, renovation and installation — and nothing else.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU DONATE

VERIFIED

The site and the equipment list are confirmed with our partners on the ground before anything is purchased.

PROCURED INSIDE SUDAN

Machines, water treatment and fittings are bought and moved through the routes that are still open.

INSTALLED

The space is renovated, the units are installed and commissioned, and the center opens to patients.

HELP SAVE A LIFE TODAY

A dialysis machine is the difference between a patient who lives with kidney failure and a patient who dies of it.
